February 2010
By Bob Mulligan
This is a most miraculous month. Jupiter (God of everything expansive) and Venus (Goddess of Love) unite in Pisces (sign of compassion). Supportive aspects from Pluto, Saturn, and Mars show we have the energy, motivation, and vitality to correct past mistakes; we dream, create, and utilize new technologies. Big projects are completed with much less effort. A new spirit of service emerges. This is a pleasant month, pointing the way to an alternate future, free of fear, worry, and small mindedness. We have the opportunity to overcome the part of ourselves that creates problems.
Our New Moon occurs February 13th 9:53 PM EST. Every New Moon sets the tone for the unfolding month; it is always a great time for setting our intentions. But some months have a clear reflection of the larger unfolding history of the moment; this is one of those months. The Full Moon occurs at 25 degrees of Aquarius Conjunct Neptune and Chiron. This is the place where Neptune was discovered in 1846 and symbolizes a way out of our current difficulties. With great force of will and exceptional courage we can unite our energies in a common cause and improve the lives of everyone on the planet. We are preparing for a great leap in consciousness.
The Sun enters Pisces February 18th at 1:36 PM EST, starting our Solar Month of compassion and synthesis. We embrace change and make peace with our former adversaries. We will blend insight and technological innovation with an inclusive empathic love. What we concentrate on we will attract. We have an opportunity to make things right. This month is a narrow window, use it well.
February ends with a Full Moon on the 28th at 11: 38 AM EST. This is the time of compassionate insight, letting go of the past, and accepting a new spiritual power in our lives. The Sun Conjunct Jupiter (expanse) in Pisces (sign of infinity) and the Moon opposite in Virgo (sign of practicality) we are shown an opportunity to serve others and to experience first hand that it is by “Giving that we receive.” Meditate, and then put the highest intuitions of your heart into action. Now is the time you have been waiting for.
From the 1st to the 7th we experience fresh ideas; a spirit of optimism pervades the atmosphere. Relationships take off in a new direction as we are experimenting with new approaches to old problems.
From the 8th to the 14th art, beauty, and romance are emphasized. Living now requires us to embrace the light of our ideals. This is a time of new beginnings and elevation of our thoughts. All communication, especially through music, has the ability to refine the soul.
From the 15th to the 21st it’s all about relationships. This is a time of finding, producing, and sharing abundance. We are assimilating rivers of information and relishing in the ease of life.
From the 22nd to the 28th enthusiasm and high expectations keep us on the forefront of activity. Generosity can reach a feverish state. It is a great week for just enjoying the fullness and beauty of life.
1st – Monday – Mercury Semi-square Jupiter – We stretch our frontiers; we see a new picture of the future. Be willing to take the next steps forward; we are having a balancing act between practical thinking and faith in life and others.
2nd – Tuesday – Venus Sesquiquadrate Saturn, Venus Semi-square Pluto – Work and play interfere with each other; we want both. It is essential that we take care of our fundamental obligations. The call of the muse must be tempered by practical concerns.
3rd – Wednesday – Love, harmony, and happiness are the keynotes of the day. Find a way to share your time with others. Create common ground through listening.
4th – Thursday – Meaningful compromises and hard work bring about positive results when we all share the same ideals. Make time to relax.
5th – Friday – Jupiter Quincunx Saturn – Good conversation and lots of adjustments makes this an interesting day. We are happiest when we let our expectations and plans shift a bit as people’s moods change.
6th – Saturday – Mercury Sextile Uranus, Jupiter Sextile Pluto, Venus Semi-sextile Uranus – Innovate, think creatively. We are able to move mountains by combining tasks and having one project support another…We can see a new way.
7th – Sunday – Mercury Semi-sextile Neptune, Sun Sesquiquadrate Saturn – Measure what you are doing and keep close track of time. When we have the common good in mind we are able to be more effective.
8th – Monday – Venus Conjunct Neptune, Sun Semi-square Pluto – Aim high and be willing to share your creative ideas. Brute practicalities can get in the way of the free flow of ideas. This is the time for adventure and dreaming but we still have to keep our feet on the ground.
9th – Tuesday – We want to fly but there is so much weight, we can’t easily get off the ground. Still, there is much luck present if we know how to tap into it. It is best to take small steps toward our goals.
10th – Wednesday – Mercury enters Aquarius, Mars Quincunx Jupiter, Venus Parallel Neptune – Try a different approach to your way of connecting with people today. Haste can cause us to redo projects later on but it is still best to move with speed through as many things as possible now.
11th – Thursday – Venus enters Pisces – There are lots of ways to achieve our goals and we may find a receptive ear in the most unusual places. Give everyone the benefit of the doubt and establish bonds wherever you can.
12th – Friday – Mars Quincunx Pluto, Mercury Trine Saturn – We may feel that someone has slighted us; we may feel misunderstood. We may feel like lashing out at someone; find a higher expression for anger by being willing to take account for your own shortcomings. Self-discipline pays dividends.
13th – Saturday – Mercury Semi-sextile Pluto, Sun Parallel Neptune, the New Moon is at 9:53 PM EST – Powerful teamwork can change the dynamics between disagreeing parties. Get people involved in practical group activities. There is much to be done and we can all help each other.
14th – Sunday – Venus Quincunx Saturn, Venus Quincunx Mars, Mercury Semi-sextile Jupiter, Sun Conjunct Neptune – Our emotions wander all over the place; positive emotional expression can be elusive. It’s a lucky but confusing day. Arts, romance, and ideals are stimulated.
15th – Monday – Venus Sextile Pluto, Mars Sextile Saturn – Focus on making others happy. This is a time for working on the most difficult issue in our closest relationships. Channel energy appropriately and you will feel very connected to your basic passions.
16th – Tuesday – Venus Conjunct Jupiter – It is as if the universe will magnify whatever you concentrate on now. Abundant energy comes and we are lifted to great heights; it is easy to feel that God is happy now.
17th – Wednesday – Mercury Semi-square Uranus – There is a restlessness and it is hard to be satisfied with whatever we are doing. Overcome the urge to change things in your life just for the sake of doing something different. Be simple with yourself; if you are overcome with discontent, relax and enjoy the scenery.
18th – Thursday – Venus Parallel Jupiter, Sun enters Pisces – Happiness and love is all around us. We feel lifted on the wings of pleasant change. Make your lover feel special.
19th – Friday – Mercury Parallel Pluto – Drink deep; we can learn new things at a very profound level. Conversations can be profound; just make sure you are making conscious decisions about where you spend your time.
20th – Saturday – Sun Quincunx Mars – Emotions easily blend together. It is possible to get a new understanding of our true circumstances if we let our emotions do the “heavy lifting.”
21st – Sunday – Sun Quincunx Saturn – Careful definition helps you see what you are responsible for and what is really someone else’s issue. Even though there are some stringent limitations on our options, we get help when we ask for it. Don’t be a silent sufferer, and spend time helping others.
22nd – Monday – Mercury Sesquiquadrate Saturn – We strive for a level of precision; try to complete obligations. Don’t take it personally if others seem unreliable; there are some problems with timing.
23rd – Tuesday – Mercury Semi-square Pluto, Sun Sextile Pluto – More can be accomplished now if we stay emotionally balanced. It is easy to be in the flow of the moment if we don’t make the tasks at hand more complicated than they have to be. See the simplicity of life.
24th – Wednesday – Venus Sesquiquadrate Mars – Passions are electric; enjoyment is easy but capturing the love is impossible so make it grow by passing it on.
25th – Thursday – Sun Parallel Jupiter – Our dreams are expansive and we are caught in an infinite wave of bliss. If you give wisely you open the doors to a deep renewal. A new level of trust can open up the universe.
26th – Friday – Mercury Semi-sextile Uranus – Things aren’t as they seem. Who would expect to find a solution in a hopeless situation? Well, today you can find grace in unlikely places.
27th – Saturday – Mercury Conjunct Neptune – Thoughts roam far and wide; now the trick is to relate our ideas to something practical. See your highest vision of the truth as already manifest in your life and you will bring it closer to everyday reality.
28th – Sunday – Sun Conjunct Jupiter, the Full Mon is at 11:38 AM EST – Pleasant thoughts and feelings dominate the day. We have an appetite for big dreams; digesting our ideals requires actions along practical lines in order to integrate them into our lives. We discard what we can’t use.
