The Astrology Company: June 2025 by Bob MulliganJune 2025By Bob Mulligan (a personal note is at the end of the newsletter)
June Highlights Jupiter is Semi-sextile Uranus on the 1st. We get the first glimpses of what will manifest from the Conjunction between these two a year ago. The march toward a more perfect future is envisioned. Venus moving into Taurus on the 6th encourages us to feel solid in our grounding and to enjoy the transient pleasures of the moment. This gives us a center of gravity. A new foundation forms over the next month. Mercury goes into Cancer on the 8th. This will give us three weeks to gather memories and learn from past actions. Missed opportunities are reevaluated and new options are built on emotional connections. Jupiter enters Cancer on the 9th offering a new perspective. We can stop labeling trees and take in the whole forest at a glance. Expanse takes place at home, literally as well as figuratively. Abundance comes through preexisting associations. Jupiter is Square Saturn on the 15th. The challenge is to see barriers for what useful purpose they serve; to materialize a vision of the future requires building on past structures. The traditions of history have meaning. This is the third and final Square between these two deities and is the final testing of the assertion of a new order started with their Conjunction December 21, 2020. Mars moves into Virgo on the 17th showing a way forward by focusing on basic facts. Regardless of how we feel or what we would like, there are certain givens that need to be addressed on a daily plan. Jupiter Squares Neptune on the 19th. Beyond what is necessary, there is magic in the way that life functions. Each of us has limitations on the way we view, entertain, and participate in the higher ideals that present themselves. Mercury goes into Leo on the 26th and will give consistency to our efforts. Trusting our own thought process is the only way to progress. We can share with others if we are free from the delusion that we have to convince them of anything. The Full Moon The Full Moon at the 20th degree of Gemini/Sagittarius is on June 11th at 3:44 AM EDT. The rulers of the Sun and Moon are Conjunct and Square the Saturn/Neptune Conjunction. They are also Sextile Venus. We are releasing the unused pieces of equipment. The movement to new found freedom is through the recognition of what we already have. We are preparing for what is coming in a couple of weeks. With Mars Square Uranus impulsive anger and nervous tension can disrupt an otherwise beautiful moment. Stubborn insistence on getting our own way can limit our options. Quiet acquisition of needed supplies can help us prepare for our new adventure. The Sun enters Cancer The Summer Solstice arrives as the Sun enters Cancer on June 20th at 10:43 PM EDT. This chart shows the underlying grid-work for the next three months. With the Sun Conjunct Jupiter in Square to Saturn Conjunct Neptune, the world will be in some contest between the power of positive assertions and the lingering fear of loss. Because the Moon is Trine Mars and Sextile the Sun/Jupiter Conjunction, we can assume, through diligent attention to basic facts, that we can continue to create a pathway for optimism to triumph over the gloomy view harbored by mass consciousness. Because there is a preponderance of earth and cardinality, we can expect progress to be measured and slow. However, because Pluto in Aquarius Conjuncts the Ascendant in Washington D.C., the force to try something different is overpowering. Pluto is the only planet in an air sign so we can imagine the majority of the people in the USA, but also the whole world, will be chomping at the bit. Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) is on the last degree of Taurus, Trines Pluto, and Squares Mars. The end result is that by fall we will have achieved what we have collectively wished for; then have buyer’s remorse. The good news is that this is only one discordant note in a long-standing harmonious symphony. Venus in her own rulership is about as far from the Sun as she can get. Venus Semi-square Sun suggests that love interests expand our vision of what is possible. The New Moon The New Moon on June 25th at 7:32 AM EDT is on the 4th degree of Cancer. Jupiter is Conjunct the New Moon. This configuration is Sextile Mars which, like the New Moon, is Quincunx Pluto, forming a ‘finger of god’ aspect with Pluto at the apex. In addition, Pluto is alone in the hemisphere and the only planet in an air sign. A Virgo Mars is at the apex of another ‘finger of god’ aspect by forming a Quincunx with the Saturn/ Neptune Conjunction on one side, and Pluto on the other. This is going to be a very forceful month with Pluto (life and death) and Mars (god of war) so strongly highlighted. With Mercury (messenger of the gods) Sextile Uranus and Trine Saturn/ Neptune, fresh ideas and information change the dynamic. Mercury’s Opposition to Pluto can be quite telling of the difficulties in translating information into useful and potentially helpful ideas. The best strategy is to listen a lot before speaking. The Weeks From the 1st to the 8th we gather a lot of experience without coming to a definitive conclusion. Still, we are on the edge of expectancy because we can feel the changes in ourselves and in the world. It’s time to digest our history and wait. From the 9th to the 15th the puzzle is unscrambled and with luck and outside assistance, the world makes more sense than it has for a long time. The true message is revealed silently. Emotional impulses lead the forward journey. Understanding rides on the coattails of sweet feelings exchanged in the dark. From the 16th to the 22nd when we get what we want and aren’t satisfied, more is not the answer. Dissatisfaction can open the door to a change in desires. Disappointment can open a window to view the real context in which our lives actually exist. From the 23rd to the 30th reinforcement plays a large part to bolster our self-assurance and determination. The closer we get to our destination, the more we see that an important choice is breathing down our necks. Either now, or very soon, we will need to make a choice. And when we do, we will be on a road that prohibits taking the one we let go of. The Days 1st – Sunday – Jupiter Semi-sextile Uranus – It’s a time of harvest. What we put in motion before has arrived at its logical conclusion. There will be a time soon for sharing what we have learned and helping others. We can give to others what we have, but when we share love, it grows in us. 2nd – Monday – A large audience has just shifted its attention. Do we have the fortitude to share what we have? To be authentic without regard for the results is liberating. Relationships enrich our lives, and we have a few new ones that benefit from some TLC. 3rd – Tuesday – Mercury Sesquiquadrate Pluto – A jump forward without forethought or analysis brings results. Accommodation from the environment helps us ignore the obvious; this is necessary. We can explain what we have done after we acted. Prior to moving, conversation has little meaning. 4th – Wednesday – Venus Semi-sextile Uranus, Venus Sextile Jupiter – Frustration in not being able to find what we are looking for gets in the way of seeing what the day offers. Impatience clouds our vision; gaining a new perspective requires us to recalibrate our expectations. Harmony may sound discordant, but this is all part of a training to learn “we can’t do it alone”. We need each other. 5th – Thursday – Mercury Sextile Mars – Conversations are stimulating and can help us patch up holes in existing relationships. More information can alter thinking. Hanging onto our original aim helps us move forward. Others will understand if we change directions. 6th – Friday – Venus into Taurus – We create much needed harmony by getting simple. Enjoying what is front of us and appreciating what life offers reveals the basic truth that whatever we need is with us. 7th – Saturday – Venus Semi-sextile Saturn – If we feel we are carrying a great weight today, it’s the past following us. In order to start anew, we need to come to terms with past judgments and release ourselves from shortcomings. Events teach the true meaning of freedom. 8th – Sunday – Venus Semi-sextile Neptune, Mercury Semi-sextile Uranus, Sun Contra-parallel Pluto, Mercury Conjunct Jupiter. Mercury enters Cancer, Sun Sesquiquadrate Pluto – There is tremendous intensity in the atmosphere. Channeling the nervous excitement into something helpful, pleasurable, or joyful is very freeing. The beauty of creation unfolds, and we need to have the good grace to just receive it. 9th – Monday – Mercury Square Saturn, Venus Square Pluto, Jupiter enters Cancer, Mercury Square Neptune – We have the ability to see beyond our limitations of history, experience, and reasoning. But for all our intuition and forward-looking opportunity, we have a hunger for the familiar and the tried-and-true formulation of life. Like a saw being pulled back and forth across a board, we make progress even when our actions appear as indecision, or as a war between instinctive wisdom and reason. 10th – Tuesday – Mercury Quincunx Pluto – A peaceful mindset emerges through expanding our vision of what is possible. We are wise to not run away from the obvious changes in the world; they have meaning in the context of our own lives. Innovative ideas, procedures, and results based on cruelty must be eliminated. Not all change is inherently good. 11th – Wednesday – The Full Moon at 20 degrees Gemini/Sagittarius is at 3:44 AM EDT, Mercury Sextile Venus – Surveying the landscape while evaluating options, we can’t help but be seduced by history, family, and existing emotional bonds. When going down a water slide, we don’t need to make decisions about direction; enjoying the ride is perfectly alright, but we can still be observant. Major decisions are coming; information gathered now will be helpful. 12th – Thursday – With a concerted effort we make sense out of the changing environment. We are able to create order out of the haphazard collection of events. With effort the day goes smoothly. Sticking close to habits that work makes life easier than when we are on a kick of experimentation. Consistency is best. 13th – Friday – It seems like it’s always something. The world is turbulent and there is a fair amount of disruption in our personal lives as well. However, if we look beyond the fog, we can get a glimpse of the future. We have been pushed in a new direction; it seems like it happened gradually, but it has really been quite rapid. 14th – Saturday – Sun Parallel Jupiter – Attitudes and insights change so swiftly that it is as if we fell off a cliff. We are still on the same planet and the songs are still the same but sung by different people in a different context. We are in the golden spot when we utilize the gifts from the past and pay tribute to those that blazed the trail. 15th – Sunday – Mars Square Uranus, Jupiter Square Saturn – Freedom requires taking bold steps. Are we up to the challenges? Victory in the public sector comes when we have already won a private victory over our lower impulses. We need to learn the new rules because we are in a new game. Hey, a positive outlook moves the dial. 16th – Monday – Mercury Semi-square Uranus, Mercury Semi-square Mars, Venus Parallel Mars – Mental agitation can throw our game off but it doesn’t have to last. Sulking doesn’t rectify difficulties and neither does blaming others. It’s easy to point out other people’s shortcomings, but the best approach is to ignore disruptions and focus on where we are going. 17th – Tuesday – Mars enters Virgo, Sun Semi-square Venus – The ride gets bumpier, but if we slow down, we can find comfort, even pleasure. In the familiar, new essences unfold and our understanding of life deepens. Most suffering is unnecessary. When we are with people we have shared beautiful experiences with in the past, the doors open to connect in a similar fashion to new people. Some emotional experiences are universal. 18th – Wednesday – As decisions are made, we may find our lives collapsing around us. Eliminating ballast frees us from the overwhelming feeling that gravity controls our lives. We need to bless and release the past. To embrace the uniqueness hiding in the most commonplace circumstances makes us better people. 19th – Thursday – Jupiter Square Neptune, Mars Quincunx Saturn – Rewards look like a foregone conclusion, but they aren’t. It’s easy to overplay our hand by trying to do too many things at once. Discretion comes by understanding what we are really responsible for. But move we must, and any decision is better than sitting still. 20th – Friday – Sun Semi-sextile Uranus, Sun enters Cancer at 10:43 PM EDT, Mars Quincunx Neptune – Great expectations come to nothing if our reach exceeds our grasp. Just because we can see how life could be doesn’t mean we can or are even ready to enter the Promised Land. However a higher vision of truth is not without merit. Inspiration comes by envisioning the possible. 21st – Saturday – Mercury Parallel Jupiter – Organizing our thinking requires starting with what we know for sure, then using our emotional intelligence to create it. Likeminded people have a way of congregating. We have more in common with other people than we might suppose, and it is time to stop the nonsense of arbitrary isolation. 22nd – Sunday – Venus Semi-square Saturn, Mercury Contra-parallel Pluto, Mars Sextile Jupiter, Sun Square Saturn, Venus Semi-square Neptune – We start by ourselves. Tremendous energy and enthusiasm lift us beyond reasonable expectation, but we hit choppy water unless we recruit some help. We stay on the right track if we are stable, consistent, and relaxed. 23rd – Monday – Mars Quincunx Pluto, Sun Square Neptune, Venus Semi-square Jupiter – With hit or miss efficiency we get in the right rhythm for the day. Consistency is not the flavor of the day, but we manage to get the basic rituals of life performed. If we stay in motion we will be happy with the end results. 24th – Tuesday – Jupiter Quincunx Pluto, Sun Quincunx Pluto, Sun Conjunct Jupiter – Real innovation is calling; however, we profit more in the long run if we expand along existing pathways. We need to finish what we started. Timing is everything for implementation of new habits and methods. Quiet contemplation and careful planning are apropos. 25th – Wednesday – The New Moon at 4 degrees Cancer is at 7:32 AM EDT – There is tremendous energy and enthusiasm. The future looks promising. The first steps are taken to materialize our wish list. To be content with our most basic relationships: friends, family, and work associates. It is wise to relish our most important connections. We won’t get this moment again. We are building a memory. 26th – Thursday – Mercury Sextile Uranus, Sun Sextile Mars, Mercury enters Leo – We push and push and finally the lights go on. The task in front becomes organized and easier. When we truly commit to our ideas, progress is assured. It is worthwhile to take the time to check our facts and the circumstances of what our stubbornness will mean before we dig in our heels. 27th – Friday – When we are doing the right thing it doesn’t matter who gets the credit. Still, recognition helps us see the source of present success. Faith in the almighty lights the flame that will carry us over the next hill. 28th – Saturday – Mercury Trine Saturn, Mercury Trine Neptune, Sun Parallel Jupiter – With discipline and faith, a single-minded focus materializes an ideal that has languished for a period of time. But the time for being is now. Even when our victories seem transient, we are building toward a rewarding future. Our job is to stay at it and enjoy the ride. 29th – Sunday – Mercury Opposite Pluto – Decisions need to be made, do we commit or let it go? To not make a choice is a choice and the reins slip from our hands and the die is cast. Simple domestic chores have a way of stoking the fires and we can capture the joy of life. 30th – Monday – Mercury Parallel Uranus, Mercury Semi-sextile Jupiter – An iron will and continuous searching for the right road puts us in touch with a new path. Memories from earlier in life wake us to the glory of what is in front of us now. Connecting dots is solving a riddle and the pieces of the puzzle work together by themselves. My Personal Note On December 8th I’m doing a talk as a fundraiser for the Alexandria iBase Project. “Tuning into the Cosmos” is Chapter 3 of my book “The Heart of Astrology”. There are several points that need some deeper clarification so I thought I’d give this talk. The Alexandria iBase Project is the brainchild of Georgia Stathis and it strives to preserve all known astrological literature. This is very important. To learn more about the Alexandria iBase Project here’s the link to the website: Home – AIP We are in the midst of getting new computers. Wikipedia took off and other commonly used encyclopedias didn’t make the transition to an online presence very well. Why? “Art is how we decorate space. Music is how we decorate time”. –Jean-Michel Basquiat This was recorded when Eva was quite sick and knew she would die soon. She died November 2, 1996 at age 33. 어바웃 타임ost Ellie Goulding-How Long Will I Love You (가사/해석/lyrics) I lucked out to find a version of this Wagner piece by my favorite conductor: I thought you might enjoy this standup comedian: The Artful Codger | Andy Huggins | Stand Up Comedy Special “We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.” -Martin Luther King Jr. “The death of human empathy is one of the earliest and most telling signs of a culture about to fall into barbarism.” –Hannah Arendt
